I read about the Comcast Cares guy a couple days ago. Apparently he no longer works at Comcast, however, the idea of being connected to your customers 24/7 is an exciting one. Certainly we will all be craving our me time but I find it amazing to have the ability to build personal relationships with our customers, whatever your business. That’s it.
As the social media platform grinds itself deeper into the fabric of business communication, my initial reaction to this shift leads me to try and redefine the game. However, as the chunks of thought marinate, I begin to realize that the game hasn’t changed dramatically, only the plays we serve up. In lieu of an impersonal advertisement of promise and inevitable disappointment, we are seeing attentiveness and transparency in the form of usable content and quality entertainment. It really is a win for both businesses and their customers, because communication and interaction between businesses and customers is finally becoming what the advertising of the 80’s merely said it was: meaningful.
As a side note: this is a personal opinion birthed out of countless hours of non-scientific research and reflection. After I see the film Art & Copy, I may have a different outlook. Thanks for reading!
Just posted some new web photos on the HD site. It’s the face against the screen angle.
Just fixed up some Internet Explorer issues that were causing the navigation to hide behind the background on herseydesigns.com. Should be good to go now!
We have just unleashed the new site. We will be updating our portfolio as soon as we can get the photos taken. Please take a look and if you have opinions, we’d love to hear them. Enjoy!
Why not? Isn’t the goal to signup with every free social networking tool? Whatever happened to MySpace?
